This episode of TechTalk with Mr. Hood he explains his strategy in teaching game design with the arcade game "Defender". Students are exploring how the game works and coming up with their own game utilizing a one sheet , game design document and prototype. Mr. Hood introduces students to the Gamer Psychology Model based the research of Richard Bartle. In his model he says there are 4 categories or gamers. Most successful games incorporate user experiences for each type of player.
