First Contact - Papua New Guinea by Business & Technology Academy
This documentary video shows footage when gold explorers first visited the mountains of Papau-New Guinea. These indigenous people were unknown to the outside world and this documentary takes us back to actual tribal footage from the early beginnings and follows the people as they reflect on films from when explorers first arrived. Fascinating look back in time at how colonists made first contact in remote areas of the world. Facts: Rich in gas, gold and copper, Papua New Guinea is also one of the world's least developed countries. Most of the population lives in remote communities that can be only be reached by aircraft or on foot. Oil, gas and mining account for almost 30% of the country's gross domestic product.
